2-Year-Old Found Safe Thanks to ATV Rider's Vigilance

 


FAITHORN, MICH -In a heartening turn of events, a missing 2-year-old girl was discovered by a vigilant ATV rider in a rural area of Michigan. The Michigan State Police reported that troopers from the Iron Mountain Post responded to a call about the missing child in the Faithorn area at around 8 p.m. on Wednesday. The toddler had wandered away from her home accompanied by two family dogs.


A comprehensive search operation was launched, utilizing drones, multiple K-9 teams, and local residents in the vicinity. Resources and personnel from neighboring counties in both Michigan and Wisconsin were also enlisted to aid in the search.


Around midnight, a local citizen on an ATV located the girl approximately three miles from her home. Remarkably, she was found asleep, using one of her dogs as a makeshift pillow while the other stood guard nearby.


Following her discovery, the girl received a thorough medical examination and was determined to be in good health. The successful outcome was attributed to the collaborative efforts of various government and volunteer agencies, as well as the support of the community.


The Michigan State Police Iron Mountain Post expressed their gratitude to all those involved in the successful rescue of the young girl.
