SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Authorities have launched a probe into an armed robbery that transpired at a pharmacy in Springfield.
According to police reports, the robbery occurred when a masked assailant entered the CVS located at the intersection of Battlefield and Campbell at approximately 8:15 p.m. this past Friday. The suspect, displaying a firearm, proceeded to demand cash from one of the registers before making his escape on foot. The clerk was shown a handgun during the incident.
Efforts to apprehend the suspect included the deployment of a K9 unit, which briefly tracked the assailant but ultimately lost the trail. Law enforcement is urging anyone with information pertaining to the case to contact 911.
The suspect, described as a white male in his early to mid-20s, was seen wearing a gray hoodie with a green camo hood. Additionally, he sported khaki shorts and a white hat during the robbery.
