WASHINGTON — Tragedy struck late Saturday night in Washington D.C. as a shooting incident unfolded at a nightclub, resulting in one fatality and injuries to three others.
The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) reported that the shooting occurred at a nightclub situated in the 1300 block of H St., NE, at approximately 11:54 p.m.
MPD conveyed that among those affected were three men and one woman, all of whom were promptly transported to nearby hospitals for medical attention. Regrettably, one of the injured men succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital, while the remaining three victims received treatment for injuries deemed non-life-threatening.
Authorities are actively searching for a suspect described as a black male, approximately 5'7" in height, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt. The last known sighting of the suspect was heading westbound on H Street, Northeast.
