Firefighters from Costa Mesa, Santa Ana, and Fountain Valley Assist Orange County Fire Authority in Tackling Fairview Street Blaze

SANTA ANA, CA — A significant structure fire in Santa Ana, located in the 2500 block of South Fairview Street, drew multiple firefighting units on Friday morning, as reported by the Orange County Fire Authority via X (formerly Twitter).

The fire, which was initially spotted by firefighters from various Orange County departments shortly before 9 a.m., produced a conspicuous column of thick black smoke, according to OCFA sources.

Upon arrival at the scene, responding firefighters wasted no time launching an "aggressive attack" on the blaze. However, due to the intensity of the fire, a second alarm was sounded, prompting additional fire support units from Fountain Valley and Costa Mesa to join the firefighting effort.

Remarkably, firefighters successfully contained and extinguished the fire within a mere 15 minutes, as confirmed by OCFA.

The fire's impact was limited to a single unit within the building, and the valiant efforts of the firefighters prevented the flames from spreading to neighboring businesses. Presently, there is no available information regarding the cause of the fire or the extent of damages incurred by the structure.

According to the company's official website, the building housed a facility dedicated to the manufacturing of medical devices.
