Austin, TX — In connection with an incident that transpired in northwest Austin in August 2021, a man has been handed a 20-year state prison sentence on a charge of intoxication manslaughter with a vehicle.
Court records from Travis County indicate that Scott Allan Taylor, 45, was convicted on August 22.
The intoxication manslaughter charge was directly linked to the tragic death of 20-year-old Colton Roberts, a college student. Roberts lost his life in the 11000 block of Jollyville Road following a head-on collision that occurred on August 17, 2021.
Documents revealed that Taylor had entered a guilty plea to the charge prior to his sentencing.
Taylor was credited with 151 days of jail time toward his sentence, as documented in the court records.
