In an incident on Sunday at around noon, a motorcyclist sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was subsequently transported to the hospital after being struck by a car in Ishpeming Township.
The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call regarding a personal injury crash at the intersection of Randall Drive and Lilac Street in Ishpeming Township, involving multiple vehicles.
According to the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office, a 25-year-old Marquette resident was heading northbound on Lilac Street when his car collided with a 56-year-old motorcyclist from Republic, who was traveling westbound on Randall Drive.
The injured motorcyclist was taken to U.P. Health Systems-Marquette via ambulance for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Assistance at the scene was provided by the Ishpeming Township Fire/EMS, Ishpeming Police Department, Michigan State Police, UPHS Marquette, and Anttila’s Towing.
