SEATTLE — In a swift response to an armed robbery, Seattle police took a teenager into custody in the Belltown neighborhood on Wednesday morning.
The Seattle Police Department (SPD) reported that the incident occurred at approximately 12:30 a.m. in the vicinity of 4th Ave. and Wall St. Following the distress call, officers swiftly arrived at the scene.
Upon arrival, officers encountered two victims, both aged 35, who informed law enforcement that they had been walking home from a local bar when they were accosted by two individuals. One of the suspects was reportedly armed with a firearm, and they demanded the victims' personal belongings.
Investigators promptly initiated a review of security camera footage, which aided in the identification of the vehicle linked to the robbery.
Subsequently, officers located the vehicle parked at a gas station in the 600 block of Elliot Ave. W. As law enforcement approached the gas station, the primary suspect attempted to evade capture by speeding away, leaving the other suspect behind at the scene.
