MISSOURI- Early Sunday morning, a devastating car crash involving four vehicles on I-44 in Franklin County resulted in the loss of three lives.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the incident occurred on I-44 Westbound near the 240-mile marker. A 2020 Jeep Cherokee was traveling in the wrong direction on I-44 and collided with the front of a 2017 Nissan Rogue. The Jeep continued down the road, subsequently striking a 2010 Toyota Corolla and a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Tragically, the driver of the 2020 Jeep, identified as Tina Degonia, 64, of House Springs, Mo., was transported to a local hospital where she was later pronounced deceased.
Similarly, the driver and passenger of the 2017 Nissan, Sabrina Sutton, 26, and Rachel Worley, 27, both from Fishers, In., were taken to an area hospital, where they were also pronounced dead.
This heartbreaking incident serves as a grim reminder of the importance of road safety and vigilance while driving. The families of the victims are currently in our thoughts during this incredibly difficult time.
