Tragic UTV Crash Claims Life of Arizona Man in Southern Idaho

 


Meridian, Idaho - Idaho State Police are currently conducting an inquiry into a UTV crash that transpired in the early hours of Saturday in southern Idaho.


As per authorities, the incident occurred in close proximity to Clear Creek Lodge in Boise County. A Canam UTV side-by-side was being operated by a 54-year-old male, accompanied by a 49-year-old female passenger, both hailing from Mesa, Arizona. Shortly before 1:00 a.m., while navigating Deadmans Gulch, the UTV failed to negotiate a sharp turn, resulting in it veering into a ravine.


Regrettably, the male driver succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the accident. The female passenger was airlifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. Notably, neither occupant was wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.


The Idaho State Police are currently conducting a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident. Further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
