Urgent Appeal for Missing Utica Man Unaware of Wife's Passing

 


Utica, WISCONSIN- Winnebago County authorities have issued a public plea to help locate a missing Utica man who remains unaware of the sudden passing of his wife.


Following a sudden and unforeseen medical event, Siems' wife tragically succumbed, leaving the 65-year-old in the dark about her demise.


Siems departed from his residence on September 15 without taking essential medications, and he left behind his phone, wallet, and any noticeable clothing items. His vehicle was also not in his possession, and no note was left behind to indicate his intentions.


Concerningly, it has come to light that Siems recently acquired a handgun. Furthermore, he made a purchase of three boxes of ammunition, a detail that has raised additional worries for authorities.


The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office stresses the gravity of Siems' medical condition, emphasizing that he relies on critical medications for his heart conditions and has a pacemaker in place.


Despite extensive search efforts in the wooded areas and cornfields near his residence, no leads to Siems' whereabouts have emerged. Local residents have generously allowed searches of their buildings and properties in hopes of aiding the search.


The search operation has involved a coordinated effort, with officers, firefighters, and various first responders from Winnebago County participating. Additionally, a substantial team from Wisconsin K9 SOS Search and Rescue, Fox Cities Victim Crisis Response teams, and a local aircraft pilot have joined the endeavor. The search has also incorporated the use of drones and cadaver dogs.
