Assault Suspect Sought After Umbrella Attack in Queens Subway Station

 


Queens, N.Y.  — Authorities are on the lookout for a suspect who allegedly assaulted a woman using an umbrella inside a Queens subway station last Thursday.


The incident transpired at approximately 3:45 p.m. at the 46th Street–Bliss Street station. A 34-year-old woman was on the platform when she observed a verbal altercation between two individuals. Upon attempting to mediate, the woman became embroiled in an argument with the suspect.


The confrontation escalated, and suddenly, the suspect unleashed a barrage of blows with an umbrella, causing the victim to sustain minor injuries. The assailant promptly fled the scene. Although the victim was offered medical attention, she opted not to seek treatment.


Law enforcement has provided a description of the suspect, who was last seen donning a green hat, a brown jacket, and a camouflaged shirt underneath. Investigations into the incident are currently underway.
