Fatal Shooting Claims Innocent Bystander's Life in Las Vegas



LAS VEGAS — Tragedy struck in the heart of Las Vegas as an innocent bystander met a tragic end due to a stray bullet, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.


The harrowing incident unfolded on the night of Saturday, September 30, at approximately 11:36 p.m. The scene of the unfortunate event was the 1500 block of Las Vegas Boulevard, located just north of Oakey Boulevard.


According to authorities, the victim, who remains unnamed at this time, was strolling along the sidewalk when a brawl erupted at a nearby establishment. As the victim passed by this establishment, they were tragically struck by a stray bullet, resulting in their untimely demise.


In connection with this incident, 27-year-old Marvin Williams has been apprehended and is now facing serious charges of open murder and discharging a firearm into an occupied structure. Williams has been remanded to the Clark County Detention Center, albeit in absentia.


The victim's identity, as well as the precise cause of their tragic death, will be disclosed by the Clark County coroner's office, as per the authorities.


Marvin Williams is set to make his initial court appearance on Monday, October 2, marking the next chapter in this devastating incident.
